MUD Sorta Crashed
Just reporting so you guys can do your thing. Sometime between 7:30 and 9:00 AM EDT the game sent out the message "Alas, the hideous malevalent entity known only as 'Lag' rises once more." Game didn't disconnect us, but it was totally locked up, and didn't let me sign back in. Also malevolent is misspelled.

I didn't see this post back when you posted it, but I went through the logs back then and saw what you wrote in your post. While crashes might still occur in this code, the primary offender should have been removed, so hopefully you won't see anymore crashes with regards to lag happening.
