The last post from the old SWTOR thread was by Inara. She's a big WoW fan and wanted to know if it was really worth playing this since she wasn't enthused by the stuff she saw in beta.
On the issue of graphics...I think it kind of depends on your rig and what you are interested in. The game is heavily stylized, so you have to just sort of deal with that. It also kind of looks bad if you don't have AA on. If you turn that on and set everything up to high...it's not that bad. There are some places that actually look really amazing at that point. AA, bloom, and fancy shadows are all pretty gpu intensive though, so you need something fairly meaty. The game doesn't seem to care all that much otherwise about cpu. Here's an example of what the game can look like:

And here are a couple others for fun..
Other than that, I think it depends on what you want out of your MMOs. The grind that questing imparts is mitigated by the way they tell the story for them, all the voice acting, etc...but it's still there a bit. The instances are cool, about half are story driven and half aren't. I don't know about the raids because I'm waiting for friends to get high enough level to do them. PvP isn't really stabilized yet.
So that's really what I would say needs to be figured out first, what are you looking for? I really liked the KotOR games, so I naturally like this. Even alone, I find it fun to play.
